Last weekend I lent out the first rando bag prototype for testing, and completed a second, much larger prototype. This one is a little bit bigger than the popular (and large) Ostrich bag. Again, not for weight weenies, it weighs in at 1lb 15oz, or 880 grams.

It’s shown here attached to my Box Dog Pelican with a Velo-Orange decaleur. More details after the jump.

If you’ve been following my flickr photostream, you’ve seen that the first new bag design of 2009, the Zugster handlebar bag is underway. I knocked off a couple of quick non-functional prototypes on Sunday to get a feel for putting them together and to experiment with how I’d like to make them.

Happy New Year, everyone!

To kick off 2009, I’ve put the 2 stock deluxe bags on sale at 10% of their normal price. That brings the Argyle Deluxe bag down to $272 (from $302) and the Linen Deluxe (so named because Brookwoods calls the color of tan Cordura™ that makes up the flap “linen”.Hey, I don’t name these colors!) is down to $239.
